A member of the Transportation Intermediaries Association for nearly 15 years: a testament to high quality in the North American Transportation industry.

A key grouping for 3PL logistics enterprises in the United States, the Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) has been working since 1978 to improve the quality standards that regulate the North American logistics market. With more than 1,700 members (the vast majority of which come from the United States), the TIA also brings together a select number of Canadian enterprises (88), of which only 18 are from Quebec.

Staying at the forefront of the Canadian industry: a trademark G.M.R. commitment

Well beyond the vast network of professionals that it brings together, the TIA represents an unprecedented opportunity to keep ahead of the innovations and best practices observed on the Canadian market. While the American industry occupies a leading role in transportation logistics, the various Training Sessions held by the TIA on the other side of the border allow Canadian member enterprises to stay on top of technology trends and hold a sustainable competitive advantage in local and national markets.

The highest freight brokerage certification in the industry

The TIA is also unique in that it issues the most widely-recognized freight brokerage certification in the industry, the CTB (Certified Transportation Broker). Dealing with operations management, contract administration and in-depth knowledge of the regulatory environment surrounding transportation logistics, CTB certification is issued to logistics experts upon passing a rigorous exam. Over the last few years, several GMR logisticians have received CTB certification!

TIA WATCHDOG: A monitoring system that improves the quality of the network of North American carriers

Taking care to equip its members with the right tools to develop a superior-quality network of carriers, the TIA also offers the WatchDog platform, a monitoring network that documents various non-compliances recorded by North American carriers (illegal solicitation, double charging, damage to goods, etc.). It consists of a reference system of inestimable value for any member organisation that takes pride in shipping the goods of its many clients from point A to point B without a glitch.
